Fully Automatic Converting Line.

Today's high production rates converting lines are available for PSAT manufacturing plants. The combination of an automatic "logging machine" and "multi shaft log slitter" directly connected to a packaging line. allow to process from jumbo mother roll to finished slit rolls. Simultaneous cutting an all the mandrels gives high quality rolls whilst reducing the down-time when re-setting the width changes.

This concept of a full "Processing Line" will ensure the typical "Lathe Slitter" greater flexibility of sizes choices and improved quality and productivity. With the setting of the number of rolls and widths required being so simple, it is possible to cater for medium, large and even small orders while at the manufacturers plant.


 

The fully Automatic Converting Line consists of two different sections: the Winding and the Lathe Slitting.

The cores are stored in the cores loader (1d) and from here introduced into the Log Winding Machine (1b) trough the loader robot (1c). The film of the jumbo roll is unwinded from the Unwinder (1a)

         
 
and it is re-winded on an empty core by the Log Winding Machine (1b). The re-winded logs is unloaded in a temporary chute and automatiically conveyed (2a) in the logs warehouse (2b) to be put in the multi mandrel fully Automatic log Slitter (2d) trough the loader (2c).
